A 3.4, Each year the Bank af America awards outstanding seniors in tour areas ot achieve- ment This year, in the Math and Science dee partmerit, Randy van Orsdel, won the rnatlwef matics certificate, Roger Price received the trophy, and Wayne Olesh received the science certificate. ln the Vocational Arts department, Robert Orazca won the agriculture award, Gracie Fernanf dez won the Business Award, Allen Laney received the lndustrial Arts certificate, and Ken Wuytens was awarded the trophy,

Bank Of America Honors Alex Mucino, Amparo Sancbez, and Wil- liam Bascus were chosen by the coaches to receive the Most Athletic award this year. Alex and Willie were both instrumental in helping the football team win the IVL co- championslwip. Willie was also named to the All-State basket team. Alex was on the foot- ball, basketball, and baseball teams. Amparo has been an active member of GAA for four years and was president during her ianior year. Junior class The Junior Class Constitution, the first sweater bearing our school seal, the Junior Play, and the Prom were some of the maior contributions of the Class of '69. The Class of '69 decided that a Junior Class Constitution was neces- sary to designate the offices and duties of the Junior class. A com- mittee headed by Junior Class Pres- ident, Curt Rutherford, drew up the constitution. Every Junior voted in his U.S, History class. The constitu- tion passed. The play was entitled Stage Door. lt was related to the numer- ous trials of girls at an acting school. Highlighting the year was the Prom, lt was a tremendous success due to the co-operation of class offi- cers, advisors and class members. 'MZ Z- 2333 Lupe Sabala wan the free class sweater for designing the emblem, which was the first to bear the school seal. officers chose class emblem .-.. The results ofthe election that was held in the spring were Curt Rutherford, pres.7 Leslie Fleming sec.: Sharon Emanuelli, rep.7 Janet Burton, man, of pub.: Doug Womack, vice-pres., Barbara Butler man. of ent.: and Jennifer Burton, cheerleader. They contributed many of 1heir hours in making plans for the annual prom. The advisors that were chosen to help the Junior class to the best of their ability were Leroy Kritz, Elvira DeLoera and Imogene i.aBerge.
