He must have made the right choices because the team had a very good season. They ended their season with eight victories and only three defeats. These losses were to South Hills, Peabody, and Allderdice. Many of the team members were privileged by playing the Championship matches which were held at the Stanton Avenue Courts. The one doubles team that went furthest at the Championships consisted of Lou Biscardo and Fred Majewicz. Their matches were held twice a week and they practiced at least four days a week. All of their matches were held at Brashear with the exception of the Championship matches. They are to be commended for a fine season and all of their effort and slcill. May next years team strive to achieve a Champion Team also! 79
