ar' S tfltlhh.. or those involved with the play, it was three long months of tension, hard work, and excitement. Due to a heavy workload, Ms. Scully, the director of Brashear's previous produc- tions, was unable to assist in the making of last years play, Bye Bye Birdie. Under the new direction of Brian and Leslie Sullivan, everyone gave up many hours of free time in order to pull the show together for a successful late April production. Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley type idol, is inducted into the army. As a final promotion, his manager, Albert Peterson, gives one lucky fan, Kim MacAfee, the chance to kiss Conrad and have him sing her his farewell song, One Last Kiss. The lives of Albert, his secretary Rosie, and the townspeople are turned upside down until, at last, each finds his or her own true feelings and loyalties in the end. 137
