PRINCESS GRACE KELLY DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT: The death of Princess Grace Kelly was a tragic incident. She was a fairy tale in real life from an American actress to a Princess of Monaco. Prin- cess Grace will be remembered not only for her movies but for the love and care she gave all who came in contact with her. She was also a re- nowned poet and touring both Europe and America giving lectures. Though she had many activities she was still able to raise a family and run a home. Princess Grace will be missed with all our hearts. CATHOLIC BISI-IOPS DEBATE NUCLEAR MORALITY! The Bishops are seen in serious discussion on the rights, and wrongs of the nuclear advancement. They feel countries should cease making war materials and end the fear of destruction. Though they can not enforce their decision on the countries, it weighs heavily on a lot of reli- gious people. Hopefully the Bishops fear for the people will never be justified, but one can only wonder. TIME 'S MAN OF THE YEAR IS POLAND'S LECI-I WALESA. Massacre in Lebanon. Jimmy I Ioffa is officially pronounced dead! American actress seen in Carribean with Prince An- drewg Queen Elizabeth dis- approves. Argentina invaded by Brit- ish and Falkland Island troops! Pope takes visit to Britain. Jerusalem the Eye of the Storm : protest and pray- er. Margret Thatcher receives a bomb as a surprise gift! No one hurt! PRINCE CI-IARLES and PRINCESS DIANA are BLESSED WITH A BABY BOY! After last year's fairy tale wedding in spring, Prince Charles and his new bride settled into their home and married life. Soon after it was announced that Princess Diana was expecting. This summer the blessed event occured and the new baby was born. The new Prince was named William. uper Bowl of Problem Solving from topleftj - The infamous mystery event, Jim Miller, Mark Patterson, and Rich in the Airdrag Event. Mike Barker in the antigravity event and last year s seniors, Bill and Don Hynes clowning for the camera. ' Ii n May 8, 1982, a special annual event took place at John A. Brashear entitled, Super Bowl of Problem Solving. It was an op- portunity for high school students to test their abili- ty to solve a problem, requiring creativity and team work. Mr. David L. Burrows, the head of Brashear's science department, coordinated the program. In order to qualify for an award each group had to participate in seven events, as listed: Collapsing Bridge competition, Gravity Grand Prix, Missile Launch, Mystery Event, Creative Cartoon Contest, Bucketball, and Superbowl of Problem Solving Quiz. At the end of the day, Alderdice took first place with a total of 471.9 points, Oliver took second with 353.2 points, and Brashear took third place with 314.4 points. Congratulations to all who par- ticipated in this event, but most of all congratula- tions to Brashear students for, once again, proudly representing our school. I2I

Shows like Tales of the Gold Monkey and movies like Chariots of Fire depict past decades that are being seen more and more. Show your legs with the mini craze. Unemployment: On the rise! Man holds Washington Monument Hostage in protest of nuclear war. ANOREXIA! The starving disease is turning into an epide- mic. Americans girls are in the thin craze but they are going over board. Doctors are seeing more cases of'Anorexia and its destruction. It spreads like a disease usually resulting in death or the deterioration of health. Today's America is facing many stresses and its effect is shown in the fad of being thin. Hopefully we can cure this disease as we cure today's problems. I2
