There are about zoo students in- volved which were divided into four groups, due to the large number of people. The job these students have is important. They serve as models for the rest of the school. They try to end the problems that have plagued our school. These include vandalism and fight- ing. They show communication between the staff and students. One job of Student Secu- rity is to help when tragedy strikes. This is done by raising money or collecting goods for those stricken. The members received jackets to help promote school pride. ,, I f.s.:sfs.e...f ---' Sigsfae: f o ,X . . Row I: P. Pryor, V. Wallace, D. Lucci, K. Bosh, R. Kotchig, P. Dieter, R. Edwards, K. Allen, P. Burrows, the head of Brashear's science department, coordinated the program. In order to qualify for an award each group had to participate in seven events, as listed: Collapsing Bridge competition, Gravity Grand Prix, Missile Launch, Mystery Event, Creative Cartoon Contest, Bucketball, and Superbowl of Problem Solving Quiz. At the end of the day, Alderdice took first place with a total of 471.9 points, Oliver took second with 353.2 points, and Brashear took third place with 314.4 points.
