This committee talces on many charitable works. To the left is a picture of some of the stuffed toys they made. After being made, they were donated to the families of unemployed steel workers. This served as a great help around the Christmas season, another fund raiser during the Christmas season was their candy cane sale. They gave the students an opportunity to send a candy cane to a friend. This was an original idea. Monthly awards are also given to Freshman who have good citizenship and perfect attendance. This is an encouragement to all of the freshman to do better and it helps keep their attendance good. This committee also helps the freshman in- volve themselves more in school activities. It also shows them what they are capable of because they are trying things they have never done before. This is a new experience for our ninth graders. The various projects they do are helpful and rewarding ones to say the least. They are helping many people and getting a feeling of accom- plishment. Good work Freshman! '31 v Qaaswsav X ow 1 C.
