' n the past years Brashear's Band has been an important part of our activities and still is. Since September the band has been in two parades. The first was a clean-up day parade held in Brookline. They also participated in the Veteran's Day parade held annually down town. According to the Band the most important performances are those at half-time during football games. They had an excellent show for the Homecoming game against Schenley. They also had a performance at the City Championship game against Westinghouse. They played selections such as On Broadway , by George Benson and Rock Around The Clock , made popular by Bill Haley and the Comets. Directing this year's band was Drum Major Tonja Ramsey, She and the band worked hard to present the best shows possible. The band plans to participate in many of the parades coming up in the Spring. They look forward to their performances while they enjoy one of the most successful years they have ever had. 97
