Thor doesn'r look like Mr. Pock! Rondo giving o lirrle love ond core. Summer brings adventure time to the lives of many Herons. This summer brought adventure and exploration to the lives of many Herons. Some trav- eled for and some stayed doser to home. Miss Ham- mond enjoyed a visit to our capital in June. She toured the White House and many other well-known D.C. sires. Mr. and Mrs. Pock sailed the seas with the '87 seniors in route to the Bahamas. They enjoyed several fun-filled days soaking up sun and sight-seeing in the Caribbean. Rondo Airman spent rime counseling at the Lion's Comp for rhe Blind. She enjoyed horseback riding, canoeing, beeper-ball and making new friends. Jerry Myers adventured to Alaska spending his days hiking, fishing, and mountain climbing. The rugged terrain of our northernmost store provided Jerry with many hours of exdring explorations. Rebecca Rowell spent most of her vacorbn participating in rhe Governor's Honors Program held in Valdosta. There she had a lor of fun rimes and developed many new friendships. Michael Harrel stayed with a family in Sweden as an exchange student. The language barrier didn't pose a great problem for Michael. He made many new friends and really enjoyed his visit there. All of rhe Herons enjoyed their trips and learned a lor of new things. Theme 7
