Having been President of the Sr. Class of 1986 is an experience which has given me a great sense of pride and an appreciation of our fine reputation. Through our many years of school together, we have made and shared some lasting memories. When times were rough and sad, we pulled together to provide a shoulder for someone to cry on and ease the grief. During the dull and drab days, we tried to brighten them in our own special way by making someone smile. Growing up together has been boring and exciting, sorrowful and fun, yet it has all been memorable. As this year ends, we will begin to go our separate ways. Some of us may never cross paths again while some may continue their association throughout life. I urge you to cherish these times, for they may be the fondest of your life. Good luck and best wishe -jln whatever your future might hold. fa SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS WE HAVE LIVED AND LOVED TOGETHER PRESIDENT—Jeff Crews. VICE PRESIDENT—Chris Thomas. SECRE- TARY—Lea King. TREASURER—Rose Griffin We have lived and loved together Through many changing years; We have shared each other's gladness And wept each other’s tears; I have known ne’er a sorrow That was long unsoothed by thee; For thy smiles can make a summer Where darkness else would be. Like the leaves that fall around us In autumn’s fading hours. Are the traitor’s smiles, that darken When the cloud of sorrow lowers; And through many such we’ve known, love. Too prone, alas to range. We both can speak of one love Which time can never change. We have lived and loved together Through many changing years. We have shared each other’s gladness And wept each other’s tears. And let us hope the future. As the past has been will be; I will share with thee my sorrows. And thou thy joys with me. Charles Jefferys Seniors 25
