Our hearts and minds arc both entwined; Our voice in song now raises. We love your fields of stately pines. The heron's grace, the flaming vines; Our alma mater is enshrined Within our hearts forever. We pledge to you our constant aim To ever keep your sacred name Untarnished by the stress and strain That ever threatens learning. We love your name, your standards high. Your constant urge to live and try; And we shall never let them die. Your loyal sons and daughters!

CAN YOU IMAGINE Seniors with no school spirit? Gary Wilson as a water boy? a week without home- work? all the school clocks having the same time? Ms. Malmberg without her overhead pro- jecter? the entire student body knowing the alma mala? Waycross without a mall? getting an “A + ” in Physics? never getting carded'’ everyone yelling at a pep rally? filet mignon for lunch? leaving school at the head of the line and your car stalls? I MISERY IS ... ... Monday morning. ... no money for gas. . .. taking the SAT 4 times. ... having in house suspension. ... going to a dance with a date and leaving by yourself. ... carrying around a Tom Wat box. ... having to ride the bus. ... working on weekend nights. ... Friday afternoons with no pep rally. . Mr Wiley's govern- ment tests. ... getting an ice cream cone and having all the ice cream fall off. ... receiving your class ring and it's too big. ... being caught by the police on the way to school. To All Teachers You who guided us; from our first day to our last; 1st grade through 12th. You who laughed with us, cried with us, rejoiced in our achievements, helped us when we failed and kept us on our feet with your encouragement; And you who dedicated your time to help us make these the best years of our lives, we dedicate this poem to you. A friend is a person of great understanding Who shares all our hopes and our schemes, A companion who listens with infinite patience To all of our plans and our dreams. A true friend who can make all our cares melt away With the touch of a hand or a smile And with calm reassurance make everything brighter, And life always seem worthwhile. H hether a teacher or peer, a friend is a cherished and precious possession who knows all our hopes and our fears, and someone to treasure deep down in our hearts with a closeness that grows through the years! We Love You! Thunks, The Senior Class of 19H4
