1970-71 HERON EDITORS COMMENTS Being editor of your 1970-71 HERON has been an un- forgettable and cherished honor in which I give my thanks to the Senior Class for making possible this opportunity. I find it hard to choose the right words to express this ex- perience and as I contemplate, I realize that words can't express such emotions as tears, tension, worry, happiness, and a feeling of reward, all of which have been my com- panions from the beginning to the end of the construction of this yearbook. I have learned the true meaning of re- sponsibility and hopefully, this experience has helped to prepare me to cope with the many responsibilities that are awaiting me in life. We, the annua! staff, hope that we have captured some of the many memories that are of importance to you which you will cherish and carry with you always. I would like to give my personal thanks to the staff who gave their enthusiasm and constant help; to our sponsors who encouraged our ideas and helped us to carry them through; to Roger Musgrove who contributed the art; to Clifton Roberson, who through his patience and skill, served as our photographer; and most of all to YOU, for your interest and support.
