World of Arts In die world of arts, students have the opportunity to develop their talents and broaden their field of knowledge and interests by including the lib- eral arts classes in their curriculum. Glee Club students profit by individual help from the Glee Club director, Mrs. Thomas. Mr. Braswell sometimes has a hard time trying to be patient with the beginners in band. We're look- ing forward to the first band performance at BCHS. Art Class becomes a particular interest to stu- dents when Mrs. Ham announces that they will learn to make leather shoes by hand. She dili- gently gives additional instructions to students striving for perfection of their projects.

Editors Comments Being Editor of your 1970 Heron has been an ex- perience that I shall never forget. It has brought about tears, laughs, anger and now a new and ex- citing Heron that is all yours. It is impossible to put into this book things like friendship, knowledge, hope, love and faith, but these are truly the real things offered to us at Brantley County High School. 1 hope that we. of the Heron staff, have captured some of this year’s memories for you, though they are only a pictorial representation - a representa- tion to many of us of the most wonderful year at BCHS, our Senior Year. The staff and 1 have had the opportunity of pre- paring this yearbook, which would have been im- possible without the enthusiasm of the staff and motivation of our sponsors. 1 would like to take this opportunity to express to each of you a most deserved thank-you” for all that you have done, in hopes that each person will enjoy his annual as much as we enjoyed preparing it for him. i. lu
