! f fa Q! To be, or-- DRAMA Near the beginning of the year, the speech and drama class of 20 students gave an original pant- omime and characterization of Sleeping Beauty . The group joined with the music department in a choral presentation for the P.T,Ae. Christmas program and for the school Christmas assembly. The aim of the program was to create interest in dramatics as well as to raise funds for equip- ment. In the second semester, seven one-act plays, three dramas and four comedies were presented in school assemblies. Each student was in two plays, and each play had studentdi- rectors. The speech department took three en- tries to the Southwest Missouri Speech Festival. In dramatic interpretation Judy Coday received an excellent rating. Hilda Luce received a superior rating in poetry interpretation. Dee Ann Pettit received an excellent rating in humorous inter- pretation. At the end of the year Judy Coday received the drama award which is presented by the school. .1 Rehearsing with tape recorder. Hmm--what IS my 1ine? More rape recording. Curses, Foiled Again!
