VOLLEYBALL All the gals. Captain with 2nd place trophy--League Tournament. The girl's volleyball team this year won six games and lost five. They won second place in the League Tournament, an accomplishment which is the best record ever made at Branson High. The captain of the team is Betty Jo Link- ous. Betty Wescott will be the captain next year. Receiving letters this year were Jo Linkous, Betty Wescott, Ramona Wright, Jan Jones, Mary Moses,Kim Sherwood, Betty Combs, June Wallace, Jean Pearcy, Sarah Gill, and Beth Rantz. Cheerleaders and Pep Club The faithful cheerleaders who were at all of the games, really helped the basketball team. They are Susie Firman and Freida Howard, each with three years on the yell squad, and Mary Ann Hight, Billy Kay Stuart, and Ramona W right, each with one year. Assisting the cheerleaders was the Pep Club, which was newly organized this year. The club has 33 members, who really craatedagrand impression at the games in their red sweaters and black skirts. The officers were Jan Jones, Pres., Dee Pettit, Vice-Pres., and Judy Coday, Secretary--treasurer. It is hoped that this organization will become stronger and more active each year. They certainly do promote an attitude of sportsmanship among the spectators at the games. Pep-Club workers Confederate Sz Pirate flags.
