Page 72 THE BRANKSOME SLOGAN was called. Then the sub-prefects came forward to receive their pins and Miss MacNeill told the audience a bit about each girl. The prefects came up next and were also given a short reference. Then the most touching moment of all arrived when the school flag was handed over by last year ' s Head Girl, Barb Langley, to this year ' s, Nancy Adams, and a solemn pledge was made. The other flags representing truth, honesty, justice and purity were presented by last year ' s prefects to the new ones. An old girl, Mrs. Grace Morris Craig, gave a very interesting and highly amusing talk on the Branksome of yesterday. It was greatly enjoyed by all and after it came the school song and prayer. One of the most impressive of the functions at Branksome Hall was thus brought to a close, and everyone left for a long Thanksgiving weekend.
