ADMINISTRATION My sincerest appreciation to the staff and student body for another excellent school year. Your loyalty, resiliency, and good humor have sustained us in the midst of rapid educational changes. We may be country , but together we can do anything! Departing seniors, I wish you success. Never forget who you are and what you represent โ your home, your school and your community. MRS. MARY DANIELS, PRINCIPAL BA-MED โ University of Florida MR. MEL McMULLEN, ASST. PRINCIPAL BS-MED โ Florida State University Here again, is a chance to review old friendships, memories and expectations. Time does go by so fast. Lost are those moments when you wanted to speak โ but didn't, wanted to act โ but wouldn't, did it โ and probably shouldn't have. But, that is what these ole yearbooks are for ... to keep alive those feelings that were valuable, and provide a reminder for plans yet to be completed. You've been given a foundation of social and academic skills for success. What you do with this knowledge is limited only to your determination. I challenge you, to use these talents and abilities to the utmost. Branford asked for it, but society will be more demanding. i MR. OSCAR M BS โ Houghton COUNSELOR Ithaca College The student is . . the most impor on the campus, students there for the institution. not a cold enrollment statistic but a flesh and blood being with feelings and like our own. not someone to be tolerated so that we can do our thing. They are our thing. not dependent on us. Rather, we are dependent on them. . . . not an interruption of our work, but the purpose of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them. They are doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so. 5 NON INSTRUCT Mrs. Linda Cannon โ Clerk TEACHERS A I O N A L Mrs. Sharon Mullins โ Clerk Mrs. Fran Ross โ Clerk IDES Mrs. Margaret Rushing Mrs. Lara Suggs FAC U L T Y BUTCH ALFORD BS-Valdosta State College Athletic Director Head Football Coach Baseball Coach, PE 9-12 LYNN ALFORD BS-Univ of Southern Mississippi Beta Club, Chemistry 7th 8th Science OLIVIA BEARDSLEY BS-Florida State University Compensatory Education VAUNCILE BELL BS-Florida State University Chapter I โ 1st Grade TERRY BROWN BS-Florida A M University Band Director CATHERINE CASON BS-Edward Waters College 7 10th English TOMMY CHAMBERS BS-Mars Hill College Asst. The low point of the season came in the first game Branford played with Trenton. It was one of those nights when everything went wrong and nothing went right. It was the worst defeat suffered all year by the Branford Girls and the 13 point margin could have worse. The second game against Trenton was one of the highlights of the season as the Bucs were able to pull out a one point victory. The Bucs were behind in the first three quarters but continued to battle back and take the game in the final seconds. Hustle and determination are the strong-points of any basketball team and there was determination in their eyes that night. Of course, no season would be complete without a victory over Mayo.
