We, the annual staff, would like to add a new proverb to that one: yesterday never ends. It is our sincere hope that this annual has captured and justly put on these pages all thdse memories that will make the yesterdays much brighter. Sincerly, your editor, Marsha Smith l Happiness is like jam - you can't spread even a little without getting some on your- self. Anonymous The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. Chinese Proverb 2 3 Dedication We, the annual staff of 1976-1977, do herby dedicate the Buccaneer '77 to Mrs. Mary Evelnn Philpot. We appreciate her loyal sponsorship of the annual through the past eight years. Even after spending long, strenuous hours in the classroom teaching, she was always willing to stay long hours with the annual staff, offering helpful advice when it was needed. Mrs. Philpot also gave assistance to other orgranizations when needed. She was always will- ing to assist those who had graduated and were trying to further their education. Mrs. Philpot was a very devoted teacher for thirty-three years. She was one of Branford's bfest. Mrs. Philpot's retirement this year was a loss to both the annual staff as well as the other students at Branford High. We would like to take this time to wish Mrs. Philpot the best of luck and much happiness in the future. The annual staff would like to say a very special THANK YOU! Annual Staff Assistant Editor, Cynthia Knighton ADMINISTRATION Tenderly now let all men turn to the earth Nancy Newhall Mr. Charles Millican Principal Principal's Mesage Congratulatons students for another fine year! Our school is growing steadily each year, and we need to grow along at the same steady pace. Remember that the main ingredient in a good school is a good student body. Again, congratula- tions. Charles Millican Mrs. Mary Daniels Assistant Principal Message to the Students. My sincerest appreciation for the kindness and respect you have shown the faculty and adminis- tration this year. It is the pleasantly unique personality of the Branford Student Body that makes this school an exceptional place in which to work.
