Amerman, Mr. Garrison CAdvisorJ ART CLUB The Art Club, sponsored by Mrs. Criss and Mrs. Gravely, is a service organization which hopes to increase the awareness of the students and faculty toward artistic elements in their Activities for 1979-80 in- celebrating Picasso's irthday, sponsoring a drive for the needy a bulletin board contest Christmas, and visiting e King's Daughters at They also sponsored Teddy Bear contest, a activity, and their nnuai snow. The Industrial Arts Club, advised by Mr. Garrison and Mr. Crider, ex- tends the depth of its members' skill in such areas as woodworking, ceramics, model dreamhouses, cardboard rockets, and carbon diox- ide cars. At the same time, it also provides services to the school and community, undertakes money- making projects, and takes field trips to places of interest to in- dustrial arts students. Larsen The FHA CFuture Homemakers of Americal gives students oppor- tunities for self- development and prepares them for family life. Most FHA members are enrolled in home economics and continue to pursue their domestic in terests through the many club activities. This year those activities included attending th local federation's Leadership Training Workshop, travelling to the Virginia State Fair, spon soring a skating party, and participating in the state leadership conference in Roanoke. Starchia, S. Butcher 54 The Brandon Christian Fellowship started the year with an ice cream sundae party with Green Run and Princess Anne High Schools and Hope Haven Children's Home. The club helped in- terested Christians grow through fellowship, Bible study, and service. Club members visited a nursing home and participated in other Christian oriented pro- jects. The BCF officers for 1979-80 were David Jahn, president, Alan Arehart, vice-president, Terri Gross, treasurer, Chris Doyle, secretary. Mrs. McColley and Mr. Parsons were the faculty advisors.

Some of the many projects they took on this year were the United Fund Drive, the student exchange, leadership workshops, and Spirit Week. In addi- tion, they supervised the stuffing of stockings for the Salvation Army at Christmas, maintained a, calendar of activities in the cafeteria, and prepared a slide show about Brandon for the citywide SCA. Randy Sterling served as SCA sponsor.
