 FRESHMAN YEAR: We, the class of '54, started off as a large class. We did not hold our class election for quite a while after school started, because we didn't know all our classmates. After we got acquainted, the following class officers were elected: President, Phil Williams: Vice President, Judy Trombly; Treasurer, Barbara Bassett; Secretary, Marcia Short; and Student Council Repre- sentative, Steve Singiser. Our class advisor was Mr. Whalen who did a great deal to help us this first year at Brandon High. For money-making activities we had a number of food sales and a Chinese auction, followed by a Come as You Are Dance. SOPHOMORE YEAR: We started our Sophomore year with $177.58 in the treasury. Our class advisor was Mr. Chase, and class officers were: President, Mike Casey; Vice President, Edwin Lewis; Treasurer, Leigh Ross; Secretary, Marcia Short; and Student Council Representative, Judy Trombly. For money-making activities this year, we had food sales. JUNIOR YEAR: Our class advisors this year were Miss Kelly and Miss Crosby, and class officers were: Pres- ident, Judy Trombly; Vice President, Edwin Lewis; Treasurer, Benny Hack; Secretary, Phil Williams; and Student Council Representative, June Lewis. For money-making activities, we had food sales, a supper. Junior Prom, sold school sta- tionery; and for our Junior play, we presented Meet Corliss Archer, which was directed by Miss Kelly. It was a big success, and we made a profit of $139.00 on the play. Class gifts to the class of 1953 were presented by June Lewis and Phil Williams. SENIOR YEAR: This year was our busiest, but the most fun. It took a lot of planning and hard work, but everyone did his share so it really wasn't too difficult. Our class advisor was Mr. Bechtold, and class officers were as follows: President, Mike Casey; Vice President, Barbara Nicklaw; Secretary, Phil Williams; Treasurer, Marcia Short; and Student Council Representative, Edwin Lewis. Our money-making activities were food sales, the Senior store, where we sold milk, sand- wiches, and candy. We also sold Christmas cards and school stationery. We presented The Gorilla for our Senior play which netted a profit of $230.00. The director of our play was Mr. Arnold. The highlight of our Senior year was our class trip.  We, the Senior Class of 1954, of Brandon High School, being declared mentally deficient and physically unbalanced, do hereby will and bequeath to the Junior Class, our Senior room, Sen- ior store, and anything else you might find of minor value. To the Sophomores, we will our books and our ability to study at least once during each term. To the Freshmen, we will our quiet and sincere personalities. Individually we will: Benny Hack wills his ability to get locked out at Music Festivals to David Center. It's not very difficult, Dave. Ed Lewis wills his photography ability to Norman deLancey. It's quite amusing at times. Norm. Charlie Matott wills his way to get along with girls to Galen Hutchison. It's really not so hard, Galen. Rod Goodspeed wills his silent roles in class plays to whomever wants a good soft job. Mike Casey wills Henry to anyone who will promise to take good care of him. Joe Whalen wills his marks to Ronnie Hombeck, only we don’t think they will help much. Eugene Lizotte wills his nickname to Eddie Darling. It seems Eugene tired of it long ago. Kenny Williams leaves his quiet ways to the entire Junior Class. This, we’ll have to seel Bob Rockwell wills his ways of talking back to whomever dares to try it. Bob Johnson wills his height to Wayne Platt because he knows Wayne doesn't need it in the first place. Shirley Welch leaves her long distance from home to Debbie Short. You'll have to start out much earlier for school now. Jeannette Quenneville wills her numerous jobs to whomever feels like being run ragged. Avis Stone wills her clarinet to Grace Baker. It seems that Grace's just won't play the right notes. Dick Sargent wills his good manners to John Aines. You better make up some of your own, John.
