These four ladies had started work at Brandon when the school was much smaller and had adapted skill- fully to their increased work loads as both the school and the community increased in size. Mrs. Cornett said that when she first came to Brandon High there were fewer than 1,000 students and the school held grades one through twelve. Brandon's secretaries made it all look easy. Working To Serve You Making sure each room was cleaned d organized and that the lunches were ll-balanced were the jobs of the custo- I and cafeteria staffs. Cafeteria Manager, Mrs. Nina Lucas, rived at 9:52 A.M. to begin preparing nches for the approximately 400 stu- nts and 100 teachers who chose to rchase lunch at school. These meals ere all homemade and were thoroughly WM joyed by the students and faculty. l'l ' WWW Keeping every room and hallway spot- ss was the tremendous job tackled by e custodians. Under the direction of Mr. ud Pitts, head custodian, each member f the staff performed his duties with ase. The jobs varied from day to day, but e staff completed each task easily.
