X E Kathy Gall Blane Gantous Darin Garner Donna Garrldo Arriving at school in the early morning hours was a first for many of us, as was getting up before the sun rose. Adjusting to this schedule took time, but as the year progressed we adapted to waking early. As sophomores we had the entire morn- ing to prepare for school, as juniors only a short time considering school started at 7:15. Some students found themselves waking up during first period, catching a few winks if ever possible. Each morning students could sit in the auditorium and listen to rock music or attend CFS devo- tions, while others congregated in the commons and lunchroom area. Many stu- dents considered morning session better, because that way they could hold after- noon jobs or go to the beach with friends, among other various activities. Although dragging ourselves to school in the early morning was a new experience, we learned to enjoy the afternoon fringe ben- efits. Brandon Strikes Back ' Brandon High juniors were movie- going students, taking in movies very often and usually so they could laugh. The favorite kind of movie was undoubtedly comedy. Horror films and love stories ran very close in second and third for favorite types. The juniors went to the theatres about twice a month, and most had a favorite movie. Near the end of the first semester, the movie chosen the favorite the most often was The Empire Strikes Back. The movie was a favorite because of the con- stant action and superb special effects. Other Popular films were Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, Urban Cowboy, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Blue Lagoon, Smoky and the Bandit il, and Terror Train. Going to the Theatre was surely a pas- time of juniors at Brandon, and their tastes were scattered to include all kinds of films.
