ot an Easy 6 ' They graded papers and ran errands. They were the student assistants. Ev- ery teacher was allowed to have as many as three assistants, and most teachers found them to be a great asset. Student assistants performed many time- consuming duties. This left the teachers with more time for the students. Being a teacher's assistant was half a credit. If some students thought it was an easy they were in for a surprise. Teachers relied on their assistants rather heavily. Typing, recording grades, and correcting papers were just a few of their many duties. For those who assisted, the rewards included gaining valuable cleric- al experience and learning more about the teaching profession. it L w-Q--..
