These stu- dents were to be commended for their outstanding contributions to their respec- tive organizations, Quill and Scroll and Mu Alpha Theta. Skill in journalism came naturally for the dedicated people in Quill and Scroll. The organization was composed of hard- working journalists from the Eagle, Emblem, and Aerie staffs, who had ex- celled in writing, layout design, or photogra- phy. These people put their skills and ta- lents together to help the BHS publica- tions bring awards back to the Eagle's Nest. Mu Alpha Theta was comprised of some of BHS's top mathematicians. Hours of practicing for contests, figuring out complex problems, sharpening their skills, and enjoying themselves while learning were spent each week. Determination and dedication were common factors for these two honor orga- nizations. They also shared another goal which was the most important one, aiming for perfection. deas.
