The girls began the season boasting a impressive record of six straight district title Returning for their final year were such ou standing seniors as Laura Noojin, Lynn Ar strong, and Shelia Sparling. Laura's superi play quickly moved her into the top position i the girls' team vacated at the end of 1980 Outstanding Female Athlete, Diane Now kowski. With consistently low scores, Ma McMeen held the number one post on th guys' team. His excellent play helped to p his team in the leading position in match aft match. Seniors Mark Wickham and Bill Carey gave fine performances in their effort to keep Brandon in the victory column.
