While we were still huddled in our houses suffering from Florida's coldest winter in years, members of the Boys' Track Team were out at McLane Stadium running laps and jumping hurdles in pre- paration for their challenging season. In January, Coach Jett DeCola assessed his team this way: We are a very young and inexperienced team, but we have over sixty members, and we hope to im- prove throughout the season. Track team members started the 1981 season boasting a record of having won their last 54 dual and triangular meets in a row. The team had also won the last four Western Conference Championships. Despite their lack of experience, team members gave their best efforts toward upholding the proud reputation of Boys' Track at Brandon High. 146 f Boys' Track y 622' , ia ., X . ...
