Board In May of 1980, Student Govern- ment ran for the office of President at the Florida State Convention of Stu- dent Governments and won! This was a very distinct honor and a great responsibility which involved a year full of hard work, ambition, and travel for the officers and executive board. Setting a fine example for the state, a group of very dedicated members went to the National Association of Student Councils and Camp Cheeley, both held in Colorado. New ideas were brought back for activities and fund raisers, and contact was established with Student Govern- ments all over the nation. Kept busy with the Halloween Homecoming and Spirit Week, the officers and members of Student Government and Executive Board were found working dilligently at odd hours in the afternoon. With their spir- it and leadership, they helped to make a number one school an even greater one.
