Mr. BHS Ken Ranager Energetic and involved, Ken Ranager has always been a leader, not only of his class, but of the whole student body. He has taken an active role in student govern- ment as class vice-president his freshman and junior years and president during his sophomore year. Ken could almost be called a hero among his peers as he has been elected a Beau and Class Favorite each of his high school years. This year, Ken has also been elected Most Popular, a member of the Hall of Fame, and of course Mr. BHS. Sports — with the courage and fortitude that it requires — has meant a great deal to Ken. A let- terman in football for three years and in baseball his junior year, he has also been an active member of the FCA.

Miss BHS Leslie Conner Meeting each new challenge with a bright and eager spirit, Leslie Conner has forged her way to the top at BHS. Three short years ago Leslie was getting ac- quainted; however, by utilizing her many talents she has become a very important part of Brandon. Titles that followed her through each high school year were those of Class Beauty, Favorite, cheerleader, and Homecoming Maid, and this year she has received the honor of being named Homecoming Queen. In addition to beauty and personality, Leslie also has a gift for music, which she has put to use by singing in the chorus. She was a member of the girls’ sextet dur- ing her sophomore year and a part of the mixed quartet her sophomore and junior years. Leslie’s leadership and participation has shown in her active involvement with the Math Club, Beta Club, Outdoors Club, track, basketball, and Student Council. This year she was elected vice-president of the Student Council and Secretary of her class. She has also been selected to the Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Leslie attends First Baptist Church in Brandon.
