Congratulations also to Coach Fred Kellet for his being named uCoach of the Year by the HWCCO Prep Paradef' On April 23 the Honor Graduates and the new members of the National Honor Society were recognized at an auditorium program. Later, they were honored at a banquet by the Student Council. The Senior Class play, The Curious Savage. presented on May 6. followed the Junior-Senior Prom on April 25. The theme. Stairway to the Stars was especially appreciated by the Seniors. who hz1cln't worl-:ed on it. The next big event in our last year was the Senior Tea on fwlay I3, given for Seniors and their mothers by the Juniors. Baccalaureate was held in the WHS gym on May 25. Commencement exercises were on May 29. The Ellis Club as in the past sponsored a party immediately following the commencement ceremonies. Thus the book closes on the graduating class of 1958. Even Valedietorians have to study for finals. Senior boys have played a big part in athletics throughout high school. Ianyee Benson and Pete Herzog were ,he senior candidates for King and Queen of the Foreign Student Carnival,

Directing the Senior Class this year are the senior ofhcers, Carol Heikkenen, Bob Lindberg, and Yvonne Woods. Class Colors Blue and White Class Flower Forget-me-not Class Motto In Ourselves Our Future Lies Seniors Looking at Honor Society pins are Danforth Award winners, Bev Kunkel and Bill Eckerly. Fans cheer as the YYarriors trample Breckenridge for the Region Six champion- ship. By September 1957, we had progressed far from the group of perplexed and disorganized Sophomores that entered WVHS in the fall of 1954. Now, after three exciting years in high school, we are ready to go out into the world and endeavor to enrich society. Selected to lead us through our unforgetable Senior year were Bob Lindberg, president, Yvonne Woods, treasurer: and Carol Heikkenen, secretary. They were aided throughout the year by the Senior cabinet and the class advisers. Homecoming was successful insofar as the Warriors overcame Little Falls by a score of I9 to 6. Queen Yvonne YVoods led the parade whose theme was Swat the Flyers. Joy to the VVorld,' was used as an appropriate theme for the Senior Christmas Banquet. The class sang carols, and a short program was presented. Using a large map of the world as background, MC. Pete Herzog conducted the audienre Around the lNorld in Eighty Minutes. during the annual Student Council Variety Show. We were proud of Seniors Jim Brown, John Emerson, and Roger Moilanen, who were selected to Absent again, and a senior too!
