As a teacher you taught us about the very basic functions in biology and guided us into our driving adventures. As a coach you gave us the fighting spirit to Win. You were the coach behind the scenes that helped make this yea.r's football team a winner when a loser was expected. You made us exceil to our fullest and stood behind the players when it was needed. As a friend you respected us and our opinions and you were never too busy to stop and talk. You had an easy going personality, but you disciplined us when necessary. With great pride and joy, we, the 1981 Echo Staff, present to you the golden edition of the Braham High School Yearbook. This year's book is very special because we have incorporated some very special features, as you shall see. The theme of this year's book is Western and We have tried to carry that theme throughout our copy, which was a very difficult job, but my copywriters came through wonderfully. Please also take notice of the old pictures that we used on the division pages. I believe that history is an important part of this book being that this is our 50th edition. Also at this time I would like to thank the people that helped make this book a success. In the deepest appreciation, I thank my advisor, Pat McConnell, my co-editors, Mike Holmquist, Marcia Drost, Beth Anderson, and Karen Anderson, and the yearbook staff members for all their help. Also a special thanks to Carlson Photography, the Braham Journal, the Isanti County Historical Society, and Margo Gerdin.
