Finally, we made it - we are known as the Senior Class of 1981. We had to go through thirteen years of silly little hardships like: Having to watch Mr. Rogers, learning to count, and having our finger paintings turn out brown. Oh, and those ABC's, we thought we'd never get through theml. We all waited until break time when we got our graham crackers and milk, every day! Then, we were bussed to Grasston . . . Good Old Grasston, where if you stepped over the red line on the tar you got in trouble. Although we never did! . Remember when we learned to write? We couldn't use regular paper, we were stuck with that funny brown paper with about four lines to a page. Imagine if we were to write a book! The year went by, and we were taught to read without using our finger to follow the words. Soon after that, it wasg if the small hand was on the three, and the big hand on two, what time would it be? Now it's much easier, all you have to do is press a button and the time is. told for you. Remember 9 x 9? It was the only one on the multiplication table anyone knew. There was one thing we never figured outg when it was our birthday why did we have to bring the treats? Learning to paint was much harder when we found out that we had to use a brush! Everyone was excited on the day we presented the play The Frog Prince. . We outgrew things like this and went on to be Big Middle Schoolersf' It wasn't as fun as we thought it was going to be! We had those gold cards that always seemed to get us in trouble. Then, there were the meetings with our advisors 15 minutes every day. Changing classes was great for the first two days, but after a while it got to be too much climbing up and down those stairs! In 8th grade we really had the teachers under controlg they thought they were going to take our field day away from us, but we had different ideas, although the only thing refusing to go to class got us was a tardy card! Another year went by and we were meant to feel like ants compared to elephants. By far, most of us were scared, but we made it through the year. That year was our first big homecoming game and dance. We all danced to King Pin. Most of us would have rather bowled than dance! The year went by very fast. We even lived through the hard stuff like Mr. C's algebra class, and the funny stuff like glueing Ziggy's foot to his chair! Remember the fun we had in biology classg collecting bugs and hiding dead frogs in the cupboards? Finally, the time we've all been waiting for - Our last year! As always - somebody else got the elevator and we got the shaft! fThanks Fahrnill We got out of school what we went for - an education. The year is at an end, and we've had some pretty fun times, but now we must go on with life and try to achieve the very best. Time is moving on and we won't have to wait for 3:10 again.
