DAILY 5:00 A. M. Erving rolls out of bed. 5:01 Wakes up! 5:02 Crawls back to bed. Figures the cows are froze up this morning anyway. 5:30 Joan Svendby gets up to cram. 5:45 LeRoy gets up to do daily muscle building exercises. 6:00 Erving's dad drags him to the barn--he's still sleeping! 6:01 Wakes up . . . in water tank. 6:05 Alarm rings at Selberg residence. 6:05f Crash! Clock flies out the window. 7:00 Buses leave town. 7:05 Art Ford leaves town, Roar!! 7:15 Louie pulls curlers out of hair. 7:30 Dorothy wakes up. 7:32 Decides she's sick today, so goes back to bed. 7:50 Ron Hauglie hops in pickup. 7:55 Goes through a stop sign. fBeats bus 44 again. J 8:17 Gang in study hall hears George's daily jokes. 8:22 Clark catches on--finally! 8:24 Pile-up in girls' cloakroom. 8:26 Bubbles floats out--more a mess than before. 8:28 June crawls out on hands and knees. 8:29 Lindell taps little bell. Mad dash to classes. 8:30 Alas! Another day beginning. 8:37 Home Ec. girls eat second breakfast of burnt cookies and schorched coffee. 9:00 Marlyn W. panics over Algebra problem 9:12 Donovon Larson accidentally breaks rafter for the Industrial Arts model garage, fastens it together on the sly with scotch tape! 9:40 Alice and Dean argue politics in social class. 9:41 Lindell interrupts. Dean keeps on talking. 9:45 Schwarten stumps Melcher again in chemistry. 9:46 Dick F. tries to argue the point. 9:49 Melcher disappears into the darkroom. 9:54 Comes out and changes subject. 10:35 Bruce, James, Dorothy, and Margaret start open discussion in back of study hall. 10:40 Froyen ponders over basketball team--wonders if he has enough gum to last through the game tomorrow night. Decides he'll buy another carton. 11:37 Echo staff assembles. 11:40 Miss Harris telling Echo staff about last year's troubles. 11:45 Mad dash for lunch line. 12:00 Mr. Yotmg and Erving get line straightened up just in time for band members to come up and ball it up again. 12:10 Jim S. cutting up in study hall. 12:12 Yvonne walks in. 12:12f Study hall is quiet once again. 12:20 George teasing Bev about jokes she doesn't get. 12:30 Lunch room workers eating left overs. 12:40 Clark writes name on frosted window in typing class. 12:45 Clark scrapes off the whole window . . . He got caught! 12:50 Quiz in English. 1:10 Papers corrected . . . Joan gets one wrong. 1:12 She claims to have misinterpreted the sentence. 1:14 Ag. boys lock Mr. Nelson out of the room. 1:20 He fins the janitor to unlock the door and let him in. 1:22 Jim O. tips Ron Hauglie's chair over . . . CLASS PROPHECY In the year two thousand -six, I am working for the United States Government Cen- sus Bureau traveling all over the states. I am in Buffalo, New York, now and I stop to see an old buddy of mine. He is the president and manager of the Edward P. Peterson Trucking Firm. Across town on the Lake Erie shoreline I see Dave Olson cruising around in his cabin cruiser. From Buffalo I go to New York City and in the National Art Museum I see some very artistic drawings done by Gene O'Bryon, Arlene Satterstrom, and Doris Berglund. Going up along the Hudson River I come up to West Point and see Jim Kelling and Martin Ferrier giving their troups marching drills. Then going across country to Boston I see LeRoy Downing who is president of Downing Tuna Fish Company and he is dictating a letter to his charming secretary, Joan Svendby. From Boston I go to Washington, D. C. and see Senator Dean Swanson fDemocrat from Minnesotaj and Representative Alice Studt fRepublican from Minnesotaj arguing over criminal hearings. Coming into Miami, Florida, I see that practically half of the Braham High School seniors of 1955 have moved there. Florence Carlson, Diane Markley, and Edythe Strand are teaching elementary school down there. Carrol Lucht is teaching music and Sherman Weise is coaching football there also. Over at the University of Miami I see Dennis Eliason and Larry Selberg coaching their champion basketball team. From there I hop a plane co-piloted by Clark Moline and Irving Anderson. The airline hostesses are Laura I-lasser and Rose Anderson. I picked up a joke book on the plane and who do you think the author was--none other than Louie Rosburg. I landed at Dallas, Texas, and saw David Holts. He is president of the Boots and Saddles Club of Dallas. Over in El Paso, Texas, Isee Dorothy Falls, who is happily married and has a group of four little tots to take care of. I have a sore neck from looking out of the train windows so much so I decide to go and see a doctor when I land. In Phoenix, Arizona, I go to the doctor and who do you suppose greets me in the lobby! None other than Margaret Barbo, who is working for Dr. James Schwarten. My next trip is to Hollywood, Califomia, where our own Arlene Dahl is starring in a hit movie. Caryll Ziesmer and Gretchen Monster are running an orange grove. Their foreman is Richard Fealy. Up in Idaho, Duane Anderson is managing a big potato farm. David Prestige is raising sheep in Montana, Also in Montana I- see Joyce Dahlberg as a secretary for a construction farm. Traveling to North Dakota I run into Loma Miller running her big ranch out on the prairie. Coming back home to Minneapolis I see Bill Carlson as a lawyer and Bruce Falk as superintendent of a Minneapolis school. When we arrive in dear old Braham, I meet Jane Mattson and Marlene Barthel on main street. It seems they have started a lonely hearts club. Some of their chief clients are Ralph Borchart and June Grundberg. Ronald Nolby and Clyde Ziesmer are farming their folks farms. Last but not least I see James O'Bryon coaching Braham's continuous championship basketball team. ax V ff 4-xv

Loren finds out that he's the one out of order. Everyone is waiting for the buzzer to ring. Buzzer finally rings. --A goof in the office. Kids seen sliding down banks on way to the buses. --There goes the grass! Smiling Ed walks into drugstore. Starts singing, You Are My Sunshine, to Pat. Pat dashes to the basement to escape the torture. Basketball practice in full swing. Grandy sinks a hook shot from the middle of the Construction crew called to widen doorwaysl Wid-o-ettes plan excursion to Rush City. Alice tunes in to watch Axel. Starts memorizing his jokes so she can tell them in school tomorrow. Miss Kromer starts making supper. QIt's her turn. J Open the windows! I--And a can of beans. Cloud of smoke seen from their end of town. l guess we eat out tonight. Melcher eating nourishment for today. Decides he will start his diet tomorrow. Basketball players finish another hard workout. FFA boys get together their A-1 team to play another The Gang leaves for Erik's. Eddie Peterson shoots 8-ball in side pocket. 1f0la8ccS 'J8:07uSS4f-af-Ss. Carrol Lucht re-re-re-reads letter from Fargo! Reads it again! Echo staff hard at work. Edythe and Arlene D. type letters to each other. Clark grabs one and dashes to the boy's room. Arlene screams threats through the door. The Gang leaves Erik's--all out of money! Boys heard giggling over Carrols diary-- Had Fun! ! Couples entertaining themselves-- games, shows, skating, etc. , --mostly etc. Clyde heads into Carlson's driveway. I-Iighbridge and Pines are densely populated. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. --Eddie's ring. Dave seen chasing geese in Levine's yard. Geese seen chasing Dave. Jim is seen walking home from the northwest section of town. Lindell pacing floor--Anne pacing floor. Bang! They bump heads!! Clyde enters Carlson yard--long driveway. Alice sound asleep, dreaming about deer-tracking episodes!! Kids seen piling out of Ferrier's car. It won't start! Seen piling back in again. George decides to push them home. They lock bumpers! floor. bout with Cambridge. Clark, George, and Bruce are having nightmares! Dreaming of rolling cars again. Marlene falls asleep--counting boyfriends. Dave Prestidge puts away Atlas set. Truman Turnquist takes off leg stretchers and goes to bed. Jim K. has dreams of Army life. Miss Kress finishes making test for Bookkeeping class. Jane decides to pur tea instead of coffee for her next TV debut. Arlene S. crawls in bed--whatta night! Time for all good kids to be in bed. Goodnight!
