The following are members of the Club: DOMESTIC SCIENCE CLUB This spring the Domestic Science classes met to-gether with those who had previously taken the course to organize a club. The purpose of this club is to help equip the dining room. A lunch cloth has already been purchased. At the first meeting of the club the following officers were elected: President, Mae Johnsong Vice President, Elsie Grellsong Secretary, Joyce Brynildsen, Treasurer, Gladys Mattson. Refreshment and program com- mittees were also elected. A decision was made that the regular meetings of the Club be held every other Monday after school, and supper be served by a committee of girls. Entertainments at the meetings will consist of program, games, needle-work, to-gether with occasional hikes and picnics. The choosing of a name for the club was carried out in contest form, the best name submitted being adopted, which was Pinpan. The above picture shows Section A hanging up the pretty white towels for Mr. Wind to dry. All clothes are not made from new materialg this is nicely shown by the four made-over' dresses at the left. These dresses have all been made over from some old garments. The picture at the right shows the new wool dress problems, which have been made from new material. The main project of the Dressmaking Class is the construction of woolen pro- blems. CHRISTMAS PARTY Friday, December 19th, 1924 the Sewing and Cooking classes enjoyed a Christmas party the last two periods in the afternoon. The sewing room was artistically trimmed with Christmas decorations, by the sewing girls. An entertainment committee took charge of the party. Various games were played after which a lunch consisting of nut-sandwiches, pop-corn balls and fudge bars, were served. The gifts were in keeping with each classy the Cooking girls gave presents in the line of food, while the Sewing girls gave those which had been sewed. n-101-oi-vi ini viwioi-:ini si ifvi--1--it-1-ni--1-rico:--103411:311-:ini-rioioi

CLASS OF 1924 xniuzni--init 3 .101 wx 1 -1.-3 fini.101.-it-3..1--1.-an--gn.-no--up-iQ. 4,010.9-.3 1 RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION A valuable department of the school is the work accomplished by the efforts of the local church organizations. This department consists of seven classes in religious instruction, conducted both in the elementary grades and in the high school. Supervised study is given to each class dur- ing part of each recitation. The recitations vary from 55 minutes in the high school to 1l,Q hours in the elementary grades. Education of youth would be of little value today if the moral train- ing were omitted. The average number of homes have been found want- ing in this respect and the educational forces are realizing that something must be done in connection with the public school to train the child the essentials of correct living. Religious training causes the pupil to realize his obligation to his associates, raises his standard socially, and reminds him of his destiny. Our school has develcped a good reputation in the religious courses offered. The work has been ably directed the past year by Mrs. L. G. Ol- son, Rev. A. P. Lawrence and Rev. A. Sjoberg. Systematic study and advanced courses each year will popularize the department.
