The above picture shows Section A hanging up the pretty white towels for Mr. Wind to dry. All clothes are not made from new materialg this is nicely shown by the four made-over' dresses at the left. These dresses have all been made over from some old garments. The picture at the right shows the new wool dress problems, which have been made from new material. The main project of the Dressmaking Class is the construction of woolen pro- blems. CHRISTMAS PARTY Friday, December 19th, 1924 the Sewing and Cooking classes enjoyed a Christmas party the last two periods in the afternoon. The sewing room was artistically trimmed with Christmas decorations, by the sewing girls. An entertainment committee took charge of the party. Various games were played after which a lunch consisting of nut-sandwiches, pop-corn balls and fudge bars, were served. The gifts were in keeping with each classy the Cooking girls gave presents in the line of food, while the Sewing girls gave those which had been sewed. n-101-oi-vi ini viwioi-:ini si ifvi--1--it-1-ni--1-rico:--103411:311-:ini-rioioi

RAYMOND CARLSON JOYCE OSTROM DECLAMATORY 1924-25 is the first year that Braham High School has ever made any serious attempt at declamatory work. This year the High School joined the State Declamatory League. Twelve students enrolled for the work and took part in an elimination contest which was held in the High School Assembly. Four boys, Verner Bergstrom, Clarence Skjod, Leslie Schwarten, and Raymond Carlson, and three girls, Mae Johnson, Victoria Edberg, and Joyce Ostrom, were chosen as winners. A final elimination contest was held two weeks later when three local judges chose Joyce Ostrom and Raymond Carlson to represent Braham High in the sub-district contest held at North Branch March third. The judges at this contest awarded the honors to North Branch, both of their contestants getting first place. Our representatives were awarded third place. Both deserve much praise for the way in which they upheld our school. Much credit is due Miss Widing who, as coach, stood by them and helped them through all their trials and difficulties. iczvz 1:-:'-' 1:-1: znzczai 'zz-ri :-1: 1. 1- 1910111-I-4:-is -.. e- -1--:Q '-:Q
