FHESHMEN CLASS HISTORY OFFICERS President- Gale Goetzce Sec. Treas.-Floyd Swanscn Class Advisor-J. M. Lunemann After eight years of sponge like absorbing of the primary funda- mentals of an education, Superintendent Aamoth measured the depth ot' the fissures of our brains and transierred us to the first seat of the sec- ondary department. On the eventful September sixth we took possession of this seat very meekly amid much unnecessary applause and contemptuous looks from those who had gone before us. These proceeded especially from the Soph- omore group who found great pleasure in our embarrassment. Despite their attitude, we adjusted ourselves to the prevailing situa- tion and, being of a progressive nature, we soon acquainted ourselves with the task before us. Then came the call of activities. Our young hopefuls proceeded to the Basketball floor where they helped materially in the development of the Basketball Teams. Several of our hand joined the Glee Club, others join- ed the Orchestra, all of which goes to show the greatness of the class of 1928.

S. consisting of 34 members: we made up the largest class in the history of the school. Shortly after school opened we held our first class meeting. during which we organized as the Freshmen class of B. H. S. With Ann Halvor- son as president, Helen Sundberg as secretary and treasurer, and Mr. Aamoth as class advisor we spent a very successful and happy school year. The big event of fur first year was the initiation party given in our honor by the upper classes. Every freshman performed heroically and proved himself a worthy member of the class. Later in the year a George Washington Party was given by our class for the faculty and student body. Last fall we came back to school again with a large enrollment, -31 members. We organized as a class with Clarence Mickleson as president. Wallace Rock as vice president. and Russel Lance as secretary and treas- urer. and Miss Widing as class sponsor. Our superfluous energy was first of all expended on the freshman class in an initiation party properly introducing them into our halls of learning. ln all phases of school activities the Sophomores have been well represented. In athletics, oratorical and declamatory work, dramatics. and last but not the least in scholarship the class of '27 has taken an active part and thus made itself a credit to the school. -Bernard Dixon 103:31-1: in in-ini io:-103: in ini- 14 101 xoxox--is-10: .14-1-lg-vi e 1 ! ! ! l 0 E ! z vtoioozo
