listory amen who went West. We continued to travel, with the theme of our inior-Senior Banquet being Gypsy Caravan. A new fixture was dded to our building this year-class rings! l955! Our building is in a new district. Our house number has been tanged to l2. At last we are High School Seniors. The building in- :ector is Miss Jean Hayes. We are still on the go with our trip to Jashington. An important part of our Senior year was sending invitations and anning for commencement. One of the highlights was our play- Stars In Their Eyes -in which we had housing problems. Our building is not the same as when we first started twelve years go. There have been changes in the blueprints and our building ma- frials have been both gained and lost, but the purpose of our building still the same-even the hurricanes that came during our Senior year auld not wreck us. We, the last graduating class of Mangum High School, extend our 'atitude to our parents who have been our architects, and to our achers and friends who have served as builders and advisers. The Jors of our building will never be closed to them and we shall always Ive an extra room. iv: itll iw ,-ia li K lin itll Q,-v r i Cla: Early in September of l943, the foundation materials of the l Senior Class of Mangum High School were being assembled in tl factories at Holt, Rougemont, and Mangum. lt was then that process began of molding each one of us into the part we woulc in the construction our teachers were building. Work continued and in i948 the parts from Rougemont were t in with those at Mangum. The chief engineer was Mrs. Willella I ln I949 a new unit from the Holt factory was added. Our iob si visor was Mrs. Hubert Crabtree. We ended our elementary education as one unit under the si vision of Mrs. Winston Hill. The foreman was Mr. O. B. Bass. The construction was Gnished but, like all buildings, there were I fixtures that had to be installed. We entered the magic world of High School! Mr. Anderson wa chief instructor. Our interior decorator in the ninth grade 'was Vertee Umstead, She helped us to get adjusted to our new loci Mr. W. E. Rice introduced us to civics and class parties. Miss Umstead was our teacher in the tenth grade also. Our struction boss was Dr. R. S. Spear. l am afraid our building smell formaldehyde that year because of our interest in biology. Mr. C. W. Morgan took over the iob when we became Junior: also received help and guidance from Miss Ethel Wilkins., who ' English and French to help us in our travels.
