This means that any- one who takes the college preparatory course anc graduates from a county school is eligible tor college entrance. Students are required, as part of their academic program, to take tour years of English, which includes both grammar and literature, as Well as composition. Some type of Mathematics must be taken for al least one year, and the student may choose betweer general mathematics and algebra. Electives which are offered are a second course in algebra anc geometry. Four years ot Social Studies are required: Worlc history, the freshman year, civics, or human rela- tions, the sophomore year, United States History, the iunior year, and sociology and psychology are spli semester courses lor the seniors. Offered two years. A third year is offered as an elective Agri- culture follows the same pattern for boys, but a fourth year is also offered. Physical Education is required of freshmen-both for boys and girls. Two years of Science are required, one of which is biology and the other may be chosen from general science, senior science, and physics. In alternate years chemistry is offered. The school also offers other electives. For college- bound students, two years of French will fulfill entrance requirements.
