Class The class ot i955 entered Oak Grove High School with approximately sixty students. No longer those pesky elementary pupils, we were what they called green freshmen. Mrs. Stickney and Mr. Neal, our homeroom teachers, were patient and understanding through those first months when we were getting adjusted. We were more fortunate than the other classes, because we were allowed to take a course in physical education, and we had for our teachers Mr. Houser and Mrs. Bass. The girls gave a TV Party in honor ot the boys at the Home Economics cottage. Then reports were passed out, anc we were Sophomores. As Sophomores we became a part ot the crowd. Then i was our turn to look down on the freshmen. Mr. ltlouser and Mrs, Pollock were our homeroom teachers. That year some o the members ot our class were in the Dramatics Club. Near thi end of the year they presented a rollicking comedy entitlei Our Hearts Were Young and Gay. The class climaxed th year with a picnic at Clearwater Lake. One thing happened to cloud our spirits. Mr. Houser wc leaving us and we gave him a surprise going-away party 1 Mrs. Pollock's home. The highlight ot our Sophomore year wc May Day with members of our class participating. We began our Junior year with h'gh hopes. Mrs. Tharring ton was our homeroom teacher. First semester we had a harvest dance and went to W liamsburg, Virginia. It was an exciting trip, because we almc got snowbound. We selected lt's A Date tor our play, and was a bigsuccess.
