I-.., Happened WORLD AFFAIRS CLUB We were born only this year but everyone certainly knows we are here We began our World Allairs educa- tion by subscribing to the Current Events Newspaper, which we study during our workshop meetings. .M :man 1 rrw..ne.r.. The Finished Product SHOP CLUB The purpose of the Shop Club is to learn by doing. The members of this club learn to build and repair wood work and machinery. We learn to use tools, the safety of them, and have projects to make such things as cedar chests, reflnish furniture, and remodel furniture. FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA The Future Homemakers of America had a very success- ful year, Big activities for the year were the observance of U. N. Day, National F. H. A. Week, and Twirp Night. The Bethesda Chapter worked very closely with the Durham- Orange County Federation and worked to build better fu- ture homemakers.
