1955 SENIORS fr ew. K5 'Du 0 0' QE ,KH The Senior Class officers are, left to right: Victor Lynn, President, David Cope, Vice- President, Kay Linthicum, Secretary, and Martha Carlton, Treasurer. As we entered the school year T954-55, we were a group of thrilled seniors who were looking forward to the year ahead of us. At once we found ourselves amidst a whirl of many activities, as well as many hard hours of study. We started to work on our yearbook-electing officers, selling ads, drawing our section, and taking pictures . . . Planning Freshman Initiation Week was a lot of fun for the Seniors, and also turned out to be a very enioyable week for the Freshmen , . , When our beautiful blue sapphire class rings finally came, we felt more like Seniors than we had previously. Marching into assemblies while our classmates respected us by standing until we had come in was an experience we had long anticipated. We had many long class meetings to discuss our problems, to plan money making campaigns, and also to plan our parties . . . After much thoughtful con- sideration the senior superlatives were elected . . . We had a very enjoyable New Year's Party, but cramming for the examinations which we came back to after the new yea wasn't very enjoyable . . . Practice-I This was a word the seniors heard for a long time lsix weeksl, but as a result out play, Take Care of My Little Girl, was very successful . . . The Junior-Senior Banquet which the Juniors gave us 'ir May was a delightful evening for everyone . . . Our class day exercises brought back the happy memories of our expe- riences in clubs, classes, and other activities which we hcc spent together . . . And then it was time to start planning our graduation-the time we hadbeen working for anc looking forward to since we had entered school. We were now ordering our caps and gowns, planning and prac- ticing the different ceremonies, and also sending out ou invitations , . . Our school year had ended-but througl our accomplishments of the past year this group of senior: was ready to meet the challenge and thrill of a new life ' MASCOTS ,,,, irrisr .
