OF TIME activities vvhich included June Fever, Junior-Senior Banquet, receiving our class rings and many parties. Our homeroom teacher, Miss Hunter, and our coach, Mr. Rice, who understood energetic young people, planned many entertaining outside activities for us. We are novv dignified Seniors, ready to take our places among the citizens of our respective communi- ties. This year has included many activities also, such as Murder Mansion, Junior-Senior Banquet, trip to Washington, parties, and field trips. Miss Wilkins, our homeroom teacher, has helped us during this year in every way possible. We wish also to thank the remainder ot the teachers and our principal, Mr. Spear, vvho have helped us during our high school years. Our time candle has slowly but surely fliclcered out and we, the class of '54, happily, yet sadly, comptete our work in Mangum l-lfgh School. We wish to recom- mend to the remaining and future students to take care of the minutes, for the hours will take care of themselves, and with Byron remember: The good old times-all times when old are good -are gone. Our teachers who helped us along our way in the seventh and eighth grades were: Mrs. Crabtree, Mrs. Gaskins, and Mrs. l-lill. During these two years we lost Carl Roberts, Ralph Ellis, Alma Sharon, leon Johnson, Ruben Brann, Floyd Wilkins, l. W. Carden, Paul larry, Joyce Pittman, Frank Worsham, Bobby Ellis, and Earl Ramsey. These little time candles now had burned out and THE MARCH a larger one began burning for us. During our Freshman year our homeroom teacher was Miss Umstead, who helped us get adiusted to high school life. Mr. Bass was our principal. Two bands had burned out and we were in our Sophomore year. During this year we had many parties and wiener roasts. Mrs. Chestnut was our homeroom teacher and Mr. Anderson was our princi- pal. As the time candles grew dimmer, we found our- selves as iolly Juniors. Time did not stand still lor us in this year because we found ourselves in a whirl of . I---mm, 4
