It is my honor and privilege to thank you for coming to the graduation exercises of the Senior Class of 1982. As we come to the end of our fourth year of high school, we are grateful for the cooperation of the many teachers, our parents, and our friends who have helped make graduation possible. They have given us the great privilege and the opportunity to widen our field of knowledge. As our high school days come to an end. there are many different emotions about the thought of leaving Brady High School, but 1 feel that with all that we have learned we shall all succeed in our new lives. I hope that Brady High School may long continue to serve this community and that its ideals and traditions may be long lived. And now 1 bid a fond farewell on behalf of the Class of 1982. They were Glenda Arps, Kelly Broere, John Bergstrom, Bradley Cope, Kirt Hodgson, Kelsy Kauk, Brian Lansford, Mike Mendenhall, Robert Rouns and Matt Urton. As the summer ended and we advanced to 2nd grade, we lost half of our classmates; Kelly Broere, Bradley Cope, Kirt Hodgson, Brian Lansford and Matt Urton. But we gained 3 new ones, Stacy Clawson, David Long, and Robert Rasmussen. Most of us made it to the 3rd grade except Mike Mendenhall who left and Robert Rouns who like the 2nd grade and decided to stay. Three new kids moved in to take their places. They were Stewart Clawson, DuWayne Eschenbaker and Sherry Eschenbaker. On our way to the 4th grade, the only ones we had left were Glenda Arps, John Bergstrom, Kelsy Kauk, and a new addition, she was Janica Reimer. For the 5th grade it stayed the same except Julie Carlbom moved in to take Janica Reimer’s place. We all 4 moved along to the 6th grade with only two new additions, Jeanna Comeau and Craig Holter. In the 7th grade Jeanne Comeau and Craig Holter left us but Ted Boehm joined the ranks. Our 8th grade graduation class consisted of the same 5 students, but when we came back to begin our last 4 years we had lost our good companion John Bergstrom, but he was soon replaced by Jim Ward. As we entered our Sophomore year we gained Cory Gaines, but lost Jim Ward. Our Junior year consisted of only 4 students, the loss being Ted Boehm. As we entered the last stage of our long journey, Kelsy Kauk left our group, which left 3 mighty Seniors to graduate and begin new journeys in their lives. Glenda Arps Julie Carlbom Cory Gaines -10- Class Prophecy It has been a long time since the class of 1982 has last seen each other, ten years to be exact. Julie Carlbom, senior class secretary, is planning a ten-year reunion and is trying to locate her other two classmates. On her lunch break at the hospital, Julie placed her first call. It was to Cory Gaines, the only boy in her class. He was located somewhere in the Himalaya Mountains. It seems after Cory graduated with high honors from the Vo-Tech Center in Great Falls, he was discovered by a world famous scientist. Cory is now working with him on a secret project. He would not tell us what this project was, but he told us that it would make him famous. Good luck on your project Cory, and hope to see you at the reunion. Julie had a little difficulty finding Glenda Arps, until it was reported that she was seen in the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana. Julie, knowing that there were no telephones in tne Wilderness, decided that she would have to take a two-day vacation from Dallas General Hospital and find Glenda herself. Julie did, however, have to wait until she got caught up in her work, three operations and two complete blood transfusions to perform, not to mention three dates with a certain young doctor. Finally Julie reached Montana and with three tour guides, hiked back into the Bob Marshall where Glenda was last seen. Julie found Glenda and after talking to her, she learned that Glenda had graduated from National College in Rapid City, South Dakota, with a B.S. degree. After graduation from college, Glenda decided that she didn’t like large crowds of people. That’s why she went back to the Wilderness. Glenda is happy though, she has her own animal refuge and vet clinic. She also runs a still on the side. Before Julie left, Glenda mentioned that she was ready to go back to school for her M.R.S. degree. She is also planning to ride out to our reunion, if her horses are up to it. Julie returned back to Dallas just in time to make a dinner date with the Chief-of-Staff to discuss the possibility of adding another wing to the Hospital. All seems well with the Class of 1982. -ii- Class Wills Glenda Arps: I will my ability to make it to school for a whole week to Julie R., my ability to stay injury-free to Tom F., and my friendship to B.R. to Marie C.
