PRESIDENTS FAREWELL MESSAGE PRESIDENT: Mary Celeste Babcock Parents, faculty, fellow students, and friends: As the president of the class of 1980, I have been honored by my classmates to present their feelings on this special occasion. As we leave the doors of Brady High School, 1 am sure that we all, deep in our hearts, regret the thought of saying farewell to our high school days forever, but yet we are thrilled at the thought of completing them. We are now standing here with our diplomas in our hands, which is a symbol for the achievement of the goal we set for ourselves several years ago. We must now set a new goal, the success we all hope for; the success our parents and teachers hoped for when they gave us the knowledge we needed. We can best express our appreciation by living in a way that we will make those who have helped us, proud of being part they played in our success. To our parents we thank you for all the help you have given us. You have taught us the basics of life: trust, honesty, and most important, how to love. For without your love we wouldn't have made it this far. To our teachers who have given us their encouragement, advice, and most of all, their time, we thank you for your guidance through the years. There is one important thing that we have acquired during our years at Brady High School, and that is friendship. So to our friends, we shall never forget you. For you have given us a friendship that will last in our hearts forever. We will always have fond memories of BHS, and without the friends we have, there would be no memories. Each of us will cherish these memories. Although we now stand alone, we must excell in our chosen fields so we don't disappoint these people who have shown their trust in us. Now 1 shall quote from an English educator. Canon Drinkwater, You educate to some extent by what you say. more by what you do. and still more by what you are; but most of all by the things you love. s Now for the class of 1980, I bid you farewell.
