Class History In September of 1956, eleven scared youngsters appeared at the doorsteps of Brady Public School. The roll call was Lyle Coghill, Mary Fagan, Linda Hofland, Debbie Jermunson, Shirley Jermunson, Judy Johnson, Andy Nowlen, Lee Otness, Gary Wiest, Burleigh Wikstrom, and Rita Zimbelman. As learning progressed, the class lost only one of the orig- inal students before eighth grade graduation: Andy Nowlen. Harold Emerson, Rich Ratigan, and Robin Lear joined our ranks but moved before graduation. Bob Banka, Don Golle- hon, Ron Gollehon, and John Kaun joined the group from the East Community and Bob Urton from Great Falls, to form a class of fifteen for the grade graduation. In the fall of 1964, twenty-four frightened freshmen a- gain entered the doorstep, only this time it was to Brady High School. The eight new students from East Community were Dave Sawyer, Rich Miller, John Anderson, Twila Bish- op, Don Hamma, Kathy Hastings, Milt Hjermstad, and Con- nie Petersen. Rob Pinion came to us from Great Falls. These twenty-four lowly students received the revenge of the Sophomore class in a wild game called, Freshmen Initia- tion. ” Our Sophomore year saw no new members. The class found initiating to be much more enjoyable than initiated. In our Junior year, Don Waidelich joined us from Wiscon- sin. Our mothers did a good job of preparing the Junior- Senior Banquet. Our main highlight of the year was the pre- sentation of the beautiful prom, Athenian Gardens. In the fall of 1968, twenty-five Seniors looked forward to the graduation date of May 23. Our Senior Trip was im- mensely enjoyed at the Lake Blaine Resort on the beautiful Blaine Lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our commencement speaker, William Johnstone, Vice-president of administra- tion, from Montana State University at Bozeman. 24
