SUPERINTENDENT’S ■ MESSAGE TO THE CLASS OF 1964: King Solomon said in the book of Proverbs: Happy is the man who finds wisdom and gains understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof is better than fine gold. Education is the summit of the develop- ment of a diligent mind. A real student knows the lasting benefits of a cultivated mind. Scholarship must not stop at graduation, for education ends only with life itself. It is the key which opens the door to countless beautfiul and valuable experiences en- riching your own life and the lives of others. Learning furnishes the lamp by which we read the past, and light which illumines the future. Where there is no learning, the people perish. May you continue to advance in your studies, and possess throughout life the gift of learning and the golden treasure of knowledge. Sincerely, David Curtis 4
