Parents, Teachers, and Friends, Having been given the honor of serving as the Senior class president, I now have the privilege of bidding you farewell on behalf of the class of 1962. Tonight’s ceremonies area great cornerstone in the course of our lives as they bring to a close our many days of school life and at the same time bring forth to us the beginning of a new phase of life, a life that will present to us new opportuni- ties and responsibilities much more complex than those which we have been faced with in high school. We could not begin to take advantage of these opportuni- ties and responsibilities if it were not for theguidance we have received through our schooling. For this guidance we owe many thanks to our parents, our teachers, the school board and to every citizen of the community. I am sure that we all, deep in our hearts, regret the thought of saying farewell to our high school days forever; but at the same time I think we are thrilled by the thought of complet- ing them. As 1 close I would like to extend to you a fond farewell, and to the underclassmen - good luck to you, and I hope your days at Brady High are a great success. Thank you and Farewell. GARY DYER

Class History In 1950, fourteen eager little first graders trudged to school. The class was composed of Merle Pauli, Gary Dyer, Gary Petersen, jerry Stockstad, Douglas Schlepp, Leslie Schlepp, Jean Hofland, Dolores Wesley, Elmer Camden, Phyllis Thompson, Howard Nash, Gerald Severson, Cheryl Kauk, and Ted Mumm. Through the years the class was whittled down by the losses of Howard Nash, Elmer Camden, Jerry Stockstad, and Leslie Schlepp. As the class moved to junior high, it was replenished by the additions of John Fornfeist, Larry Stinson, and Nancy Gutman. This made a seventh grade class consisting of thirteen students. Eighth grade brought the class together with twelve members since Jean Hofland had moved away. In 1959, Nancy Gutman and Larry Stinson moved away leaving ten green freshmen to face initiation. 1960 saw a sophomore class composed of ten members, but with Sharron Sloan and John Dreissen replacing John Fornfeist and Ted Mumm. The junior class consisted of eleven members after John Miller and Phil Fogg moved to Brady. Sharron Sloan left the class to be- come Mrs. Jerry Rossmiller. Now in 1962, after twelve years of school, John Miller, Phil Fogg, Gary Petersen, Gary Dyer, Merle Pauli, Douglas Schlepp, Dolores Wesley, Phyllis Thompson, and Cheryl Kauk are left to find their paths in life.
