Our close relationship with her has made our lives fuller and with more meaning. 4 JUMP, MMI, JUMPW 0 0 A X Xi 'f -- 'P Lv I 0 Top: Dick Kauk, Donnie Jermunson, Milton Burdick, Jimmy Hofland, Kenny Perry. Bottom: Patsy Fornfeist, Alice Boggs, Shirley Mowbray, Jean Zimbel- man, Mr. Fowler. cdoolgowwl Richard weikum, Charlas Dyer, Bruce Peterson, Reba Donnel, and Clark Fowler - a Upon graduation your adult life will commence and upon your decisions and the decisions of thousands like you, who will graduate this May of 1957, will depend the future happi- ness of mankind. It is good to pause in these pregraduation moments and reflect upon the tremendous obstacles which will face you, the coming generations of adults. Upon your shoul- ders will fall the weight of the many dilemma of today. I realize that no one of you will solve the problems of racial integration, political threats of communism, or proper use of atomic power, but each of you will contribute to the acctunu- lative thinking that will eventually lead to their solution. Therefore, I urge that each of you continue to evaluate problems that you will face in the light of reason and with an accompanying faith in and love for your fellow man. Clark W. Fowler 'nv Friends, Teachers, and Classmates: It is now my privilege to speak a few last words on behalf of the Senior Class of 1957. This is the hour to which we have been looking forward for a long time. Com- mencement day is a great inspiration to the members of this graduating class and I am sure it is also to our parents and teachers. We shall look upon our high school diplomas as a recognition of four years of work which we hope we have done well. However, the diploma itself is not as important as the ideas and ideals we have learned and the application to real life situations which will be worth so much now that our high school days are over. We of this generation wish to accept the responsibility that is ours. This class of graduates will offer only eight new adults to the country, but there will be thousands more across the nation. what real things can we do to take over our responsibility? First, we must be of strong heart in whatever we do. It is necessary to have con- fidence in our abilities, and put forth an honest effort in what we do. We must con- tinue to have faith in ourselves and each other. We must always uphold the ideals of our state and nation and be true to the principles on which our government was founded. We extend our sincere thanks to the teachers of Brady High School who have de- voted many hours in and out of class in helpingus to be ready for this graduation night. To our parents we say Thank you for all the help and encouragement. We wish to ex- press our appreciation to the school board and citizens of Brady for making our edu- cation possible, and for supporting all our activities. We hope we will be able to justify your faith in us. Dick Kauk 5 X GoT MY EYES 08 Yo U YN? ALICE BOGGS CAROL PERRY l RALPH FORNFEIST DICK KAUK AL'S PLUMBING AND HEATING - Conrad 4,457 Sitting at my desk correcting test papers I often think of the good old days at Brady 1-Iigh and what everyone is doing now. Ten years have passed since the class of '57 has been seen in the halls of Brady High. Jean Zimbelman is doing very well as a literary critic in Doubleday and Company, Inc. She married the editor who owns a dude ranch out west. Shirley Mowbray has recently caught a millionaire after four years of faithful teaching. She intends on willing her fortune to the institutions of the nation. Carol Perry is an air-hostess for the Pan-American Airlines. She enjoys her work very much which is always exciting. Dick Kauk, who is a great engineering man, is busy at this time con- structing plans for a bridge across the Grand Canyon. He and his wife will be celebrating their sixth anniversary soon. LeRoy Cyr is now professor of English at Harvard. Five years ago he married and now has two children which are following in their father's foot- steps. Ralph Fornfeist has been busy on his farm west of Brady for the past few years. He and his wife are seen quite frequently driving through Brady in their lavender Cadillac. Jerry Zimbelman, the scientist, has just returned from the moon on his rocket. He has been working on this new rocket for the past few years.
