Zlaaegfdzfafag In the fall of '51 the doors of Brady High were opened wide to admit eight bright and smiling Freshmen. They were Grace Severson, Kathleen Matthys, Louise Mumm, Betty Thompson, Carol Rabe, Janette Mowbray, Harry Severson, and Jerry Stenjhem. The following year we returned to B. H. S. discovering we had lost a former class- mate, Jerry Stenjhem, who moved to North Dakota. Sandra Davison, from Highwood, joined our class and filled in the vacant desk left by Jerry Stenjhem. A few months later Carol Rabe left for California, decreasing the enrollment to eight students. In our Junior year we started out with eight students and neither lost nor gained any during the year. Our last year has finally arrived, and now we are a group of mighty Seniors. Sandra Davison did not retum for her Senior year after her marriage to Tom Gollehon, who is working at Pete's Texaco. Late in November Betty Thompson quit school to become the wife of Robert Reiquam, a student at the Montana State College at Bozeman. 79 The other day just before I boarded a private plane on leave from Washington where l was stationed in the Women's Air Force, I began to wonder about what the class of '55 was doing to keep themselves busy for the past ten years. When I reached San Fransico, California, where I stopped to receive further infor- mation, I was surprised to find Janette Mowbray at the airport waiting for her plane to Poughkeepsie, New York. She informed me that she was a professional Physical Educa- tion Teacher at Vassar. During our conversation we began to talk about our old classmates. She told me that she heard from Grace Severson a few weeks ago. She is now a registered nurse in Hono- lulu. After her marriage in June she plans to make her permanent home there, As we were talking we overheard some airline passengers say that Harry Severson has just com- pleted the construction of a large and fascinating University in France. They also men- tioned some of the other buildings he had constructed, Janette said she also heard from a former classmate, Kathleen Matthys who is now the private secretary for the head office of the Standard Oil Company of Missouri. Then I heard the voice over the loud speaker system saying her plane was ready to leave so must say farewell. s 0-40fQ,ae Sponsored by I-lENNESSY IJUMBER COMPANY, Conrad

IANETTE Louise KATHLEEN ,nv -if HARRY GRACE 0661! When the school's last lesson is mastered, And the classes are tested and triedg When the brightest student has vanished, And the best has stepped aside, We shall rest--and, faith, we all need it!- We shall rest for a moment or two, Till the wonderful High School Experience Shall set us to work anew! Then we who have gone shall be happy, We shall have passed through schoo1's highes gradesg We shall face the wor1d's difficult problems With countenance una fraidg We shall pass through each test as we meet it At the sounding of duty's stern call: We shall work every day-when we have to- And never be tired at all!
