Senior Poem In the year of fourty-seven On a bright September day, A group of jolly Freshmen To Brady found their way. They were tortured by the Sophomores, Made fun of by the rest, But they lived through all this nonsense And strove to do their best. Then when that year had ended And the next one had begun Those who had once been Freshmen Now were Sophomores full of fun. They made friends with all the teachers Through their happy, pleasing ways, And each one will remember His carefree Sophomore days. Third year they were Juniors Working hard and long each day, To overcome each difficulty They were sure to find a way. And now this group are Seniors And before you here we stand, All our hopes and struggles centered In this diploma in our hand. Class Prophecy I was traveling by airplane to my ranch in Beaverhead County after attending my son's graduation from Yale University. It was then that I ran into my old classmate Marian Tempel who was traveling with her husband, president of the air lines on which I was traveling. We started conversing about our old classmates. She said she saw Marjorie Petersen, who is head nurse on the men's floor at the Mayo Clinic. I told her that I had seen Lilly Severson, a Professor of Physics at Yale University. Lilly informed me that Bonita Hill is a featured soloist with the New York Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra now appearing at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. School Improvements Now that we have come to the close of our school days in Brady High we look back and see the many improvements that have been made to further the efficiency and pleasantness of the school system. One of the first improvements was made with the purchase of new blackboards for the gymnasiuxn. Next were the changes that were made in the schoolhouse. There was a new furnace installed, new rest rooms built up- stairs, water fountains and fire hose. At this time the lunchroom, typing room and office were remodeled. The lunchroom now has been divided into two units, the kitchen and the dining room. New cupboards, sinks, stoves, wqrk tables and a deep freeze were installed. There have been vast improvements made in the gym during the last two years. There was a different heating system installed, shower rooms built upstairs and new black- out curtains purchased for the gym and also for the visual aids room. Last but not least were the changes made to the school grounds. Sidewalks were built and playground equipment for the grade school children was purchased. Now as we look back on all of these improvements we realize the interest and faith that the members of the commu- nity have in our school and we hope that their confidence in the youth of this community is well founded. 16
