Celebrating Greek Spirit Bradley University is host to a large variety of Greek organizations, believing that they are as much a forum for the fos- tering of leadership, scholarship, and phi- lanthropy as any other campus groups. With over twenty-five different sororities and fraternities an inevitable, yet good- hearted, competition exists. Competitive energies are released during Greek Week, seven days of con- tests, races, and parties reminiscent of the old Olympic Games festivities. Greek houses vie against each other in chariot races, tug-o-war, pyramid building, comi- cal skit presentations, and mud volleyball fto name just a few of the gamesl. Greek presidents participate in a special contest, the Presidents Race. The object is to dig a penny out of a pot of flour . . . using only the face. And for all those oatmeal lov- ers out there, there was also a contest to see who could eat the most oatmeal. Greek houses were dressed in banners in- corporating this year's theme, The Choice of a New Generation. Those who came to view the competi- tions included both Greek and non-Greek students. Sigma Nu emerged as the win- ner ofthe most games. Delta Upsilon pro- vided stiff competition but came in second. . JF 22fGFlEEK WEEK

The Activities Fair gave students, especially freshmen and transfer students, a chance to learn about the extra-curricular activities of- fered on campus. Most of BradIey's clubs and organi- zations took advantage of the Fair to re- cruit new members. A few area busi- nesses also had booths set up to wel- come the students back.
