Une Foot in the Door We are all here in the hope and con- fidence that Bradley University will arm us with the most powerful weapon one can use in conquering the world - knowl- edge. On September 23rd, a wide array of company representatives gathered on campus to attract potential employees and exhibit the opportunities available to those who know that knowledge is an important asset. Students at Bradley acquire exper- tise in a variety of different fields. They may, as a result, find employment with a variety of institutions. ti- To Closer It follows that the potential em- ployers represented at Career Day were as diverse as AT8tT Network Systems and Pizza Hut, or the K-Mart Corpora- tion and the U.S. Peace Corps. This vari- ety reinforces the attitude of the career counseling center that there is a suitable career field for every individual. Judging from the high turnout of representatives, business and educa- tional leaders have taken note of the quality of BradIey's graduates. 4 ' v A i sy' i shake says it all. I Common Meal Amidst the chaos of moving into the dorms and the transition into a more aca- demic frame of mind, the all-school picnic drew students together for a final farewell to summer. Grilled steak in one hand, chips and pop in the other, students made friends or got reacquainted as they milled around the field- house. D IIA K -T ,ff i A . The Activities Fair gave students, especially freshmen and transfer students, a chance to learn about the extra-curricular activities of- fered on campus. Most of BradIey's clubs and organi- zations took advantage of the Fair to re- cruit new members. A few area busi- nesses also had booths set up to wel- come the students back. Food, pencils and pens, id. wallets, and other items were given away. Photos by Frank Mehlig and Dave Hamernik Top Right: Warm, sunny weather put students in the mood to join in the fun.
